The South Downs National Park is a superb backdrop for 2000 adventurers to take on a real challenge. An Eastbourne start, up Beachy Head, the magnificent Seven Sisters, and along the South Downs Way, with stunning views over the sea, to a Brighton half-way.

South Coast Challenge 2025 – Support Leukaemia Care

Join us for the South Coast Challenge on 6th – 7th September 2025, and make a significant impact by supporting Leukaemia Care. This exhilarating event offers a variety of distances to suit all fitness levels, providing an opportunity to experience the stunning South Downs National Park while raising vital funds for those affected by leukaemia.

The Challenge

Starting in Eastbourne, the route ascends Beachy Head, traverses the magnificent Seven Sisters, and follows the South Downs Way, offering breathtaking sea views. Participants can choose from several distance options:

  • Full Challenge (100 km): A demanding journey to historic Arundel, passing through Brighton at the halfway point.
  • Half Challenge (50 km): Ideal for those seeking a substantial yet manageable distance.
  • Quarter Challenge (25 km): Perfect for newcomers or those preferring a shorter experience.

With full support and hospitality throughout, including rest stops, meals, and medical assistance, every participant is set for success.

Your Journey

Whether walking, jogging, or running, individually or as part of a team, you’ll receive:

  • Fully Signed Route: Clear markers guide you through the scenic trails.
  • Regular Rest Stops: Replenish with snacks, drinks, and hot meals.
  • Finisher’s Rewards: Celebrate with a medal and t-shirt upon completion.
