Festive fundraising

Do something amazing for blood cancer patients this festive season by trying out one of our fundraising ideas.

Are you excited for the most wonderful time of the year?

The festive season is the perfect time to give back to others, and what better way to do this than to raise vital funds for all those affected by blood cancer?

If you’d like to do your bit this wintertime, check out our fundraising ideas below.

Christmas Jumper Day

Friday 13th December is National Christmas Jumper Day, so why not take advantage of this national day and get your workplace or school involved! All you have to do is charge colleagues or students a small fee to wear their festive jumpers on the day. It’s that simple!

Take on a gym-a-thon

Too cold or wet to run outside? Go indoors! Find a gym or sports hall, or simply use your own home, and host a challenge such as running a marathon on a treadmill, or a row-a-thon alone or in a team. All you’d need to do is get people to sponsor you to complete your challenge.

Christmassy cocktails

Who doesn’t love a mulled wine or eggnog? Get your friends, family or colleagues round for a festive tipple and charge them an entry fee or per drink.

Get icing

Hold a festive bake-off and see who can make the best mince pies in your office or family. You could try a gingerbread house contest, or see who can perfect a yule log. The choice is yours! Just either ask people to pay a fee to enter, or charge the public for a slice of your creations and a chance to vote for their favourite.

Dance the long nights away

The festive season isn’t complete without those much-loved festive tunes, so make the most of them and sell tickets to a dance!

Christmas carolling

Everyone enjoys a good old sing-song, so get a group of colleagues or friends together and go carolling to raise vital funds for all those affected by blood cancer.

Wrap it up

Love wrapping? Know others who hate it? Do it for them and charge them a fee for your exceptional gift-wrapping services!

Let’s go to the movies

Getting comfy on the sofa with a Christmas film is a festive pastime for many, so why not turn it into an opportunity to do something amazing for blood cancer patients? Charge friends and family a small fee to watch festive films and devour popcorn.

Resolution roulette

Many of us are guilty of making New Year’s resolutions and failing to stick to them. So, add an incentive by getting your friends, family or colleagues to write their resolutions down, pop them in a jar and promise to keep to their resolutions for an allotted time frame. Anyone who breaks their resolution has to pay a fine!

Hair loss

Some blood cancer treatments may cause hair loss on your body. This can be an upsetting time, but there are things you can do to help you cope and feel more in control.
