At Leukaemia Care, we believe that every day is an opportunity to make a difference, and we’re proud to share how we’ve made a difference to the lives of people living with a type of blood cancer like leukaemia in 2024 so far.

Here’s how we’ve made a difference so far:

  • Financial relief: Over 450 individuals have received vital financial support through our welfare service.
  • Practical assistance: We’ve shared essential information with more than 45,000 people to help them navigate their journey.
  • Emotional support: Our freephone helpline has offered comfort and guidance to over 1,900 individuals seeking emotional support.

But our impact doesn’t stop there:

  • Accredited information: Over 40,000 people have accessed our patient information resources.
  • Expert advice: Our Advice Service has answered over 1,000 queries.
  • Counselling: 39 individuals have received up to six sessions of professional counselling.
  • Hospital support: 288 people have benefited from the dedicated assistance of our nine navigators throughout 12 hospitals .
  • Peer support: Our Buddy Scheme has paired 50 individuals for one-to-one peer support.
  • Accommodation: Our CAR-T Away from Home Service has provided 196 days of hotel accommodation for those in need.
  • Community building: More than 600 attendees have participated in over 60 of our support groups.
